Reid's VCUG and ultrasound were today! The ultrasound was first and it went great. Reid loved to see his insides "smile" at him on the screen. Next up was the VCUG! I went in knowing what would happen. Reid was nervous and jittered around with the strings on his gowns. I told him it would be okay and that at the end he could pee on the table. The first tech couldn't get the catheter in and Reid just cried that his pee pee hurt and that he felt sick. After a good 10 minutes the tech got another nurse to try. This nurse tried and was also unsuccessful. The nurses came to the conclusion that Reid's bladder didn't open in the right place and that they would not be able to do the VCUG! They said if it truly needed to be done we would have to go to west campus have them put the catheter in and slightly sedate him then bring him back to main campus to have the actually test done!!! So they are calling Dr. Nabulsi and I'm sure tomorrow when i take him in to check his cough then we will discuss it!
On a good note though we finally got Killie's appt scheduled for her bladder stuff in Lubbock. We go next week on the 20th! So hopefully then we will know when surgery will be and what we can do to stop the UTI! Any who have a great afternoon!
